  • BRUT-45 / Update Tank Location Based on Route and Service Locations – A new utility has been added to Energy Force that allows users to update the tank locations based on route and service locations by either tank location or service zone. This utility does require a new user right.

The new utility is located under Supervisor Menu / Processes / Utility Menu.  Update Tank Location and Update Service Locations are under separate buttons.
When Update Tank Locations is selected, the user fills in the Division, Route and the Tank Location associated with that particular route in the table.  Once the table is filled out and saved, the Process button is enabled.  This process also updates the appropriate meter if it is tied to one of the tanks being updated.  The table will only need to be filled out one time and can be modified later if necessary.
By selecting Process, the user will receive another message asking if they want to update the location in the master asset file.

Selecting Yes will update the Tank Location on the customer account and also the location in the master asset file.  If No is selected, only the Tank Location on the customer account will be updated. The change to the location on the master asset will also be recorded in the master asset history and can be viewed under the History button in the Tank\Meter Inventory listing.

There are two methods to update the service location, users will receive a message when selecting Update Service Locations also.

If Yes is selected, then Service Locations will be updated based on the tank location of the attached tank.  If the service location doesn’t have an attached tank the location will not be updated.  Fill out the table for the matrix and save then select Process.
Note: The table only needs to be filled out one time and can be modified later.
If No is selected for updating based on tank location, the Service Location will be updated based on the service zone and location in the table. The Tank Location field will be disabled when updating based on service zone.

  • BRUT-547 / Reports for Update Location Utilities – Energy Force has auto generated reports to go along with the new Update Locations utilities.  Reports are saved in the Ctls93\DD85\CSV folder. The header on the reports includes the date and time the update was processed, the user that ran the update, and the selections chosen. The reports only include items that were updated.

Below is a sample of the report for the Update Tank Locations

  • BRUT-332 / Validate CallIn GPS – Energy Force has a new enhancement that can be turned on to validate GPS coordinates on tanks when a call in entry is created.  A new system setting is created automatically and will be set to No upon creation.
    • When set to Y (yes) and a call in entry is created, the GPS coordinates are validated.  The validation checks to ensure the tank has coordinates and will also check Optimizer customers to ensure coordinates are within Optimizer bounds.  If there are no coordinates set on the tank, the user will get this warning message.
    • For Optimizer users:  When there are coordinates on a tank that are outside of the Optimizer bounds the user will receive the following warning that displays the coordinates on the tank.
If No is selected the call in entry will be removed.  When Yes is selected the user can continue entering the call in.  Validation will also happen when changing a pending call in entry from pending Yes to pending No.
