Getting Started - Cylinder Exchange

To begin, get to know the Panasonic FZ-G1 Toughpad.

Application Buttons

  • Power
  • Application Buttons (Panasonic FZ-G1 has two more options for a long press of A1 or A2)
  • Scroll (Panasonic CF-U1 only)
  • Touch Screen
  • Zoom (Panasonic CF-U1 only)
  • Stylus
  • Keyboard (Panasonic CF-U1 only)
  • Security Button (Panasonic CF-H1 only) this sends a Ctr+Alt+Del command
  • Brightness/Volume buttons (Panasonic FZ-G1 only)
  • Windows button (Panasonic FZ-G1 only)
  • Screen Rotation Lock button (Panasonic FZ-G1 only)

Turning on the Toughbook

Press and hold down on the Power button for two seconds. The system will boot up and display the Login screen (if one is required) or to the main desktop of the handheld.

Turning off the Toughbook

The Toughbook functions exactly the same as a desktop PC. To turn off the handheld, tap Start in the lower left corner of the screen and then tap Shut Down. The Toughbook will power down.

If a hard shut down is required, press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds.

Wireless Access Point

The Wi-Fi icon located in the bottom right corner of the computer screen indicates if there is a connection to the Wireless Access point.
